KELLY'S KITCHEN RENOVATION

Before Renovation

The original kitchen and dining area featured a traditional design with dated cabinetry, finishes, flooring, and decorative elements that made the space feel visually heavy and somewhat disconnected. Although the existing layout provided adequate storage and functionality, the arrangement of cabinetry and appliances created a more enclosed feeling and limited the visual connection between the kitchen and adjacent dining area.

The combination of traditional millwork, tiled flooring, dark window treatments, and multiple finishes lacked the clean, cohesive character desired for the home. The renovation presented an opportunity to reconsider the layout, improve circulation and functionality, maximize storage, and introduce a brighter and more sophisticated material palette. The primary goal was to transform the existing space into a more open, elegant, and welcoming environment while creating a stronger relationship between the kitchen and dining areas.

After Renovation

The renovated kitchen was transformed into a bright, sophisticated, and highly functional space with a timeless contemporary aesthetic. Custom floor-to-ceiling cabinetry maximizes storage while creating a clean and seamless architectural composition. Integrated appliances and carefully selected hardware contribute to the streamlined appearance, while the soft neutral palette enhances the natural light throughout the space.

A redesigned central island provides additional workspace, storage, and casual seating while improving circulation and strengthening the visual connection between the kitchen and dining area. Large-format stone surfaces introduce subtle texture and a refined focal point, complemented by warm wood accents and decorative lighting. The result is an elegant, inviting interior that balances functionality, comfort, and a sense of understated luxury.

Material Palette

The material palette was carefully curated to create a warm, sophisticated, and timeless atmosphere. Soft neutral cabinetry is paired with natural stone surfaces featuring subtle veining, bringing texture and understated elegance to the kitchen. Warm wood tones introduce a natural contrast and visually connect the kitchen with the dining area, while brushed brass hardware and decorative lighting add refined accents throughout the space. The combination of natural materials, soft textures, and warm neutral tones creates a cohesive and inviting interior with a balanced sense of contemporary luxury.
